Minimally Invasive Fusions

What if I need a spinal fusion?

If there is enough compromise to your spine, you may receive a recommendation for a spinal fusion.  This reconstructive procedure is generally a combination of decompression and stabilization, and usually involves hardware placement.

A minimally invasive fusion involves specialized techniques which commonly result in less blood loss, less postoperative pain, and an overall quicker return to everyday function.  If you're going to get a fusion, you want to be considered for the least invasive variety.
